Health and Safety Professional

CPJ Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our client's team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on health and safety matters, promoting a positive culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide expert advice on health and safety-related issues and act as the primary point of contact for health and safety matters.
- Monitor industry trends and health and safety legislation changes, advising management on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and update health and safety records and documentation, including logs, risk assessments, and safety procedures.
- Develop and monitor health and safety training programs for all employees, ensuring they understand and comply with safety awareness and procedures.
- Promote awareness and understanding of health and safety practices through the health and safety committee, ongoing education, and communications.
- Mentor and support all staff in implementing health and safety initiatives and best practices.
- IOSH Certificate/Diploma
- Demonstrable and proven track record in the use of quality tools, such as 8D, FEMEA, Ishikawa, Root cause, Kaizen/Six Sigma & 5Y associated quality tools
- Knowledgeable understanding of ISO 9001 & adherence to additional standards, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to produce high-quality written reports and presentations
- Up to £42,000 basic
- Performance Profit Related Bonus (PPRB) - a discretionary bonus of around 8% of salary paid annually
