**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at SF Recruitment (Birmingham). As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of all employees and maintaining a compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies: Define, develop, implement, maintain, and update health and safety policies, procedures, and practices that are compliant with applicable regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards, evaluate risk, and implement appropriate control measures.
- Training and Development: Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on health and safety matters, including safe working practices and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on health and safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and accident prevention.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practice. Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, inspections, training, and compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve and monitor health and safety programs based on industry advancements, best practice, and emerging trends.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Extensive qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field. Relevant certifications are highly desirable (COSHH/NEBOSH/IOSH).
- Experience: Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role, preferably in a specific industry.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, laws, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Skills: Excellent understanding of risk assessment methodologies and the ability to implement appropriate control measures. Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs and materials.
