Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

CPJ Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our client's team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on health and safety matters, promoting a positive culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide expert advice on health and safety-related issues and act as the primary point of contact for health and safety matters.
  • Monitor industry trends and health and safety legislation changes, advising management on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain and update health and safety records and documentation, including logs, risk assessments, and safety procedures.
  • Develop and monitor health and safety training programs for all employees, ensuring they understand and comply with safety awareness and procedures.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of health and safety practices through the health and safety committee, ongoing education, and communications.
  • Mentor and support all staff in implementing health and safety initiatives and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate health and safety considerations into project planning and execution.
Requirements:
  • IOSH Certificate/Diploma
  • Demonstrable and proven track record in the use of quality tools, such as 8D, FEMEA, Ishikawa, Root cause, Kaizen/Six Sigma & 5Y associated quality tools
  • Knowledgeable understanding of ISO 9001 and adherence to additional standards, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to produce high-quality written reports and presentations
