Contracts Manager RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that NIHR's research funding contracts are legally sound, protect our interests, and facilitate successful collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert contractual guidance to NIHR colleagues on a wide range of research funding agreements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement new contractual terms and conditions effectively.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of standardized contract templates used by NIHR.
- Stay informed about evolving policies and regulations within the UK research funding landscape.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practices.
- Support the establishment of efficient processes and best practices for contract management within NIHR.
- Advise on intellectual property (IP) ownership and management issues related to research contracts.
- Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing research and development (R&D) contracts.
- In-depth familiarity with the UK's research funding environment and key stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of government policies and regulations pertaining to research funding.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of risk management principles and practices.
