Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Anderselite LTD. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering smaller replacement and refurbishment projects on above-ground mechanical and electrical assets, refurbishment and replacement of key infrastructure pipelines and buildings, and improvements to existing assets and systems.

Our team focuses on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base, typically totalling £50-60m per year. We are looking for an individual who can ensure project costs are managed effectively, maintain good client relationships, and assist with the Project Management strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Cost Management: Manage project costs to ensure they do not exceed tender or varied allowance.
  • Contract Administration: Ensure timely submission of contract reviews, monthly forecasts, and payment applications.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain good client relationships at all levels.
  • Project Strategy Development: Assist with the development of the Project Management strategy.
  • Contract Filing and Management: Establish and maintain contract filing systems.
  • Progress Reporting: Produce contract programme monitor programme and progress reports.
  • Data Management: Provide data for the timely production of O&M manuals.
  • Procurement Management: Produce procurement packages.
  • Subcontractor Management: Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Site Management: Liaise with site management on design and procurement issues.
  • Subcontract Performance Monitoring: Monitor subcontract performance.
  • Documentation and Handover: Assist in the preparation of construction completion and take over documentation.
  • Professional Development: Ensure continuous professional development by participating in external networking, conferences, associations, and groups.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Undertake other duties, training, and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required.
  • Professional Image: Present a professional and positive image of the department in all internal and external contact.
  • Confidentiality: Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality.
  • Design and Innovation: Work closely with design departments to ensure timely progressing of quality solutions.
  • Innovation and Risk Management: Evaluate innovative solutions and processes.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Contribute to risk and opportunity schedules on a monthly basis.
  • Design Safety: Ensure designs are developed which are safe to construct, commission, operate, and maintain.
