About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to lead our team of dedicated professionals in delivering an efficient and effective repairs and maintenance service across our extensive property portfolio.

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work aligns with our high standards, statutory requirements, and key performance indicators. This includes:

  • Value for Money: Secure cost-effective solutions through effective procurement, negotiation, and communication with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Contractor Management: Ensure an adequate and competent pool of contractors to meet our maintenance needs, holding them accountable for their performance and work quality.
  • Property Standards: Ensure Nacro's properties meet required standards through a programme of inspections and implementation of programme of works.
  • Major Works: Lead on significant repairs and improvements, ensuring compliance with building regulations, planning requirements, and CDM regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure robust specifications for high-value repairs are produced, scrutinise contractor responses, and implement a rigorous programme of post-inspections.
  • Project Management: Oversee, through the team of surveyors, high-value works, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of residential property maintenance, procurement, contractor management, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • DBS (completed as part of the pre-employment screening process).
