About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Haematologist to join our esteemed team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our haematology department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Share inpatient responsibilities with other haematology consultants to cover daily consultant-led ward rounds.
  • Support a well-established and diverse outpatients' service, undertaking clinics at Royal Bolton Hospital.
  • Participate in a weekly sector-wide multidisciplinary team meeting with Bolton, Wigan, and Salford.
  • Contribute to the development of new services and expand existing ones, depending on your interests and expertise.
Requirements
  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Hold a Certificate of Completion of Training or be within six months of awarding CCT by the date of interview.
  • Experience of working within the NHS, with broad exposure to all aspects of clinical and laboratory haematology.
  • Ability to supervise audit projects and teach medical students and postgraduate medical trainees.
