About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Civil Engineer to join our Capital and Commercial Services team in the Wastewater Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading technical aspects of optioneering and design for various waste treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive innovative, efficient, and environment-friendly solutions for wastewater treatment projects.
  • Provide technical support to the Waste Treatment Core Design Team and develop the technical capability of team members.
  • Supervise the creation of designs and specifications for wastewater treatment projects, considering health & safety, environment, buildability, and customer impact.
  • Identify and review deviations from our client's standards and support the Project Management Team in taking these deviations to the relevant standards owners or Standards Approval Board for approval.
  • Ensure our client's H&S standards are adhered to in relation to the design, particularly standards relating to functional safety, HazOp, HazCon, DSEAR, and the CDM Regs.
  • Communicate lessons learned from the project to the wider business and develop younger and less experienced engineers working on the programme of work.
About You

We are looking for a UK-experienced Civil Degree qualified (or equivalent) Engineer with a passion for solving engineering problems, the ability to lead and inspire, and the confidence to drive through challenging solutions. Ideally, you should be chartered or a member of a relevant engineering institution, such as the ICE.
