1What Is the Opportunity?
We are seeking a Senior Underwriter to become a vital part of our Hull team.In this role, you will leverage your previous experience to assist the unit leader in managing the profitability of the portfolio. Your responsibilities will include underwriting and processing new business, renewals, and midterm adjustments, while ensuring the adequacy of rates for all business handled. You will play a key role in executing and reviewing business strategies, as well as monitoring and reporting performance/results as necessary.

- Oversee the underwriting process for a specific Line of Business, ensuring overall profitability, growth, and retention while maintaining consistency across all related initiatives.
- Guarantee that all business is underwritten in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, and controls, including compliance with Lloyds Underwriting Management Standards.
- Assist in the development of the assigned Line of Business by researching and identifying target markets, competitor insights, and industry trends.
- Utilize appropriate systems to accurately input quotes, risks, and endorsements to ensure effective management and reporting.
- Prepare analyses and gather data to support the execution of corporate underwriting policies and standards.
- Collaborate with other business functions to optimize resource utilization within the organization.
- Monitor results for the Line of Business, analyzing profitability, loss trends, and productivity, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Stay informed about market factors and global events to identify new opportunities.
- Promote the Line of Business and distribution strategy, providing guidance on underwriting philosophy and requirements while building strong relationships with Agents, Brokers, and Customers.
- Offer guidance, mentoring, and coaching to team members as appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

What is a Must Have?
- Extensive underwriting experience in the Lloyd's and/or company market is required.
