Join a vibrant and forward-thinking team committed to delivering effective, patient-centered care through the timely identification and management of acute issues related to suspected or confirmed cancer diagnoses, as well as ongoing cancer treatments. You will engage with complex cases presenting acutely to our service.
We seek an exceptionally driven, adaptable, and passionate individual with strong communication and leadership capabilities, who possesses experience or knowledge in oncology or has worked with oncology patients, to become a member of the Macmillan Acute Oncology team.
Main Responsibilities
You will collaborate closely with all personnel involved in the care of cancer patients, particularly Oncologists, the Acute Medical Assessment Unit, the Accident and Emergency Department, and members of the Cancer & Specialist Palliative Care multidisciplinary team. You will also liaise with both tertiary and primary care partners.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate highly developed interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, with a keen attention to detail. They must exhibit strong leadership qualities, vision, and the capacity to influence others in delivering high standards of acute oncology care for all patients and their families or caregivers.
