We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Dermatologist to join our clinical team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dermatology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own clinical workload, covering a wide range of dermatological conditions, including acute dermatoses, and performing minor operations. You will also be an integral part of our sector MDT meetings and have opportunities to participate in service development and education.
About the RoleThe dermatology department is located within the hospital site and offers a range of clinics led by consultants and specialist nurses. We are currently developing a tele-dermatology service and aim to offer a Biologics service to our Bolton population in the near future.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge and experience of medical and surgical dermatology, including management of acute dermatoses. They will also have the ability to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients and offer an expert opinion on the full range of dermatological problems.
The successful candidate will be able to work with and supervise non-career grade staff, registrars, and specialist nurses, and have the ability to teach clinical skills and manage and lead strategic developments in service delivery.
