Materials Controller

Location: Bridgwater

Our mission is to enhance asset efficiency, ensuring optimal availability while minimizing maintenance expenditures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and track material stock registers and in-transit materials to guarantee availability within specified timelines.
  • Establish stock thresholds for consumables, tools, and safety gear to support engineering operations.
  • Source materials and consumables to maintain necessary inventory levels and fulfill specific requirements.
  • Maintain storage facilities in a systematic and secure manner, ensuring materials are safely stacked and that racking systems are regularly inspected for safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with site material users to ensure sufficient stock levels, arrange transportation, and allocate space for returning materials.
  • Supervise the efforts of laborers, drivers, storekeepers, and other personnel to ensure timely material placement.
  • Ensure compliance with essential safety protocols and adherence to established rules and procedures.
  • Implement and utilize facilities for the storage of hazardous materials, ensuring environmental protection and clean-up measures are in place.
  • Actively engage with the team, providing constructive input and support for ongoing projects and ad hoc tasks.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and skills to maintain professional development.
