Job Title: Senior Equipment Technician

Company: IKM Testing UK

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Equipment Technician to join our team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment, as well as managing the stores area and coordinating personnel working on project mob/demobilisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment in a competent, safe, and professional manner.
  • Identify and procure all necessary equipment and materials in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with operations and other departments to ensure delivery schedules are met and equipment is received in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure all freight, transportation, and shipping paperwork is in order.
  • Manage the stores area to ensure a sufficient stock level of spares and consumables is available for all operational requirements.
  • Coordinate personnel working in the yard on project mob/demobilisations and ensure they are working in a safe manner.
  • Loading and unloading of truck deliveries and mob outs, as well as taking photographs of the equipment mobilising.
  • Adhere to and in accordance with any and all Company Policies, protocols, procedures, risk assessments, and systems.
  • Travel to other IKM sites as required.

Requirements:

  • Overhead Crane certification.
  • Forklift Truck license up to 16T.
  • Basic knowledge of Pipeline and Process Testing equipment used onshore and offshore.
  • Knowledge of Cargo Handling and packing of different types of containers.
  • Previous experience working in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Sound technical knowledge of pipeline and process testing operations and the equipment used.
  • Strong quality focus and ability to prioritise tasks with minimal instruction.
  • Computer literacy - competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
