About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobilisation Operations Technician to join our team at IKM Testing UK in Aberdeen. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth mobilisation and demobilisation of our equipment and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mobilisation Planning and Coordination: Review and participate in mobilisation meetings to ensure accurate and timely planning of equipment and personnel mobilisations.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure all de-mobilised equipment is received and handled in accordance with IKM procedures.
  • Procurement and Logistics: Identify shortages and communicate with engineers to issue purchase or rental orders to the procurement department.
  • Supplier Liaison: Work with suppliers and the procurement department to negotiate competitive pricing for common stores items.
  • Communication and Coordination: Liaise with operations and other departments to ensure timely delivery schedules for mobilisations and receipt of hired equipment.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure all relevant certification is available for load out and that all personnel working in the yard are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Store Management: Manage the stores area to ensure sufficient stock levels of spares and consumables are available for operational requirements.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all certification, MSDS, and other relevant documentation is obtained and maintained for all equipment and materials.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise with the Senior Mobilisation Technician and coordinate personnel working in the yard to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working in the Oil and Gas industry, with a strong understanding of pipeline and process testing equipment.
  • Skills: Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include DGM Land and Sea, Fittings Awareness, Overhead Crane, and Forklift Truck license up to 16T.
