Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Studio Operations Manager to join our team at our in-house studio in South Shields. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the smooth running of the photographic studio and coordinating the delivery of seasonal ecommerce assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Studio Management: Support the Studio and Production Manager in the management of the Barbour Ecommerce Studio.
- Seasonal Planning: Coordinate and implement the seasonal studio schedule and ecommerce budgets.
- Team Management: Responsible for training, development, and people management of the Photography Manager, Assistant Ecomm Brand Manager, and Junior Producer.
- Logistics: Oversee the booking of models, freelancers, and all studio production.
- Network Development: Build a network/database of freelancers, including creative professionals and production teams, to support the needs of the wider marketing team.
- Asset Delivery: Ensure that all seasonal ecommerce assets are delivered on time, on brief, and in-line with brand guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work with the design teams, markets, and centre to ensure that all products/looks are represented appropriately both visually and commercially across all channels.
- Efficiency: Enforce and coordinate all logistical studio processes to ensure maximum efficiency and output of all assets.
- Project Management: Delegate ad-hoc studio requests effectively throughout the team to ensure critical path is always on track.
- Financial Management: Track and log outgoing costs vs forecasted seasonal budget.
- Support: Support all markets and the wider marketing team, specifically Ecommerce, Digital, and PR, in the request and delivery of assets.
- Project Lead: Manage all projects in the studio workflow, acting as project lead for getting senior leadership sign-off on projects and assets.
- Stock Management: Oversee the request, booking in, and out, and upkeep of all studio stock and coordinate all seasonal stock takes.
- Range Directory: Coordinate the delivery and execution of range directory assets to support seasonal launches.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working in a busy fashion retail ecommerce environment.
- Expertise in on and off-model ecommerce photography.
- Previous management experience is essential.
- Expert knowledge of photography, retouching, and lighting techniques is essential.
- High competence in using Photoshop and Capture One.
- Confidence in training others on photographic and retouching techniques.
- High competence in using MAC Operating systems.
- High competence in using Microsoft Office (Excel/PPT).
- A self-motivated leader who is able to take and give direction.
- A confident hard worker who is always strives for the best end-result.
- Exemplary attention to detail.
