Morgan Hunt is collaborating with a college in Birmingham seeking skilled Educational Behaviour Specialists to enhance their dedicated team.


About the Role:


In this position, you will work with classes comprising 10 or more students, focusing on maintaining student engagement and concentration during lessons. The age range of the learners is between 13 and 18 years, and they may exhibit challenging behaviours, making de-escalation skills crucial. You will provide support to the classroom teacher throughout the day.


The standard college hours are from 8:30 AM to 4 PM.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing and managing student behaviour
  • Facilitating student engagement with lessons, offering academic assistance, and collaborating with the classroom teacher
  • Supporting students in developing essential life skills

Requirements:
  • Experience in an educational environment, preferably within a PRU or SEND setting
  • Prior experience working with students with ASD, SEMH, or in a 1:1 support capacity
  • Availability for full-time work
  • A flexible work ethic, with the ability to adapt and meet deadlines effectively
  • An enhanced DBS check that is current or on the update service
