About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Recycling Collections Operative to join our team at Bath and North East Somerset Council. As a key member of our Environmental Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of household and commercial waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lift and empty waste containers, including food caddies, card sacks, household bins, plastic sacks, wheelie bins, and paper sacks into our recycling vehicles.
  • Operate recycling vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
