Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Recycling Department Supervisor to join our team in Keynsham. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising allocated staff and ensuring the safe use of vehicles, plant, and machinery.

About the Role

You will be responsible for directing the work of trainees, agency staff, and other employees assigned to you. This will involve overseeing daily operations, managing waste collection routes, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise allocated staff and ensure they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Direct the work of trainees, agency staff, and other employees assigned to you.
  • Oversee daily operations, including waste collection routes and task management.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and within deadlines.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a recycling or waste management environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, engineering) or equivalent experience.

We offer a competitive salary range of £30,825 - £31,364 per annum pro rata, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to training and development opportunities.
