HR Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Advisor to join our team at Tate Winchester. As an HR Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and providing expert advice on HR practices.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment Management: Manage the recruitment process, advising managers on terms, conditions, and equal opportunities, participating in interviews, and preparing job offers.
- Pre-Employment Checks: Ensure all pre-employment checks (right to work, health checks, references, DBS) are completed promptly and accurately recorded.
- HR Data Management: Securely maintain HR data in line with council policies and legislation.
- Expert Advice: Provide expert advice on recruitment to managers and staff.
- Contract Management: Accurately process contract changes with proper authorisation.
- Employment Law: Advise on employment law, HR practices, terms, and council policies.
- HR Policy Guidance: Offer initial guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Maternity Leave: Advise on maternity leave and maintain accurate records as per legal deadlines.
- Occupational Health: Provide advice on occupational health, making and managing referrals as needed.
- HR Information: Give employees relevant HR information about their employment.
- Recruitment Data: Provide recruitment data updates to the Service Lead HR.
- Project Support: Support the Service Lead HR with projects like SAR and FOI requests.
- Training Development: Help develop and deliver corporate training sessions.
- HR Policy Review: Assist in the review and development of HR policies and procedures.
- Quality Control: Ensure quality in all tasks and help develop quality control systems.
- Training and Development: Complete relevant training for the role.
- Experience: At least two years working in an HR Team at this level.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge and experience of applying legislation, guidelines, regulations, and industry standards to key areas of responsibilities.
- Workload Management: Able to deal with high volumes of work quickly and accurately.
- Methodology and Organisation: Methodical and organised.
- Teamwork: Team player.
This is a full-time office-based temporary role that will cover a period of maternity leave. Parking options are available.
