Position Overview:
In the role of Process Safety and Compliance Consultant, you will be instrumental in guiding clients through the complexities of safety regulations and delivering expert consulting services to both clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consulting during the design and implementation stages of new projects, ensuring adherence to all relevant machine and process safety standards.
- Conduct comprehensive safety evaluations, including CE, Machinery, and PUWER assessments for new or modified facilities, and perform Machinery Safety evaluations in accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
- Execute on-site audits and deliver ATEX/DSEAR surveys, gap analyses, and Explosion Protection Documentation for both new and existing systems.
- Carry out inspections and prepare equipment reports prior to installations.
- Educate colleagues and client personnel on machine safety principles as outlined in the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.
- Complete safety compliance assignments for clients in line with project specifications.
- Collaborate with design teams, offering specialized knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
- Drive revenue through machine risk assessments and safety consulting assignments.
- Contribute effectively to multidisciplinary engineering design and project management efforts.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for enhanced service delivery.
Qualifications:
A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering) or an equivalent HNC qualification with applicable experience.

- Demonstrated expertise in Machinery Safety Assessment.
- Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
- Advanced IT proficiency and general administrative skills.
- Proven teamwork and communication skills.
- Effective networking capabilities.
- Professional presentation skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Desirable Skills:
- CMSE Certified Machine Safety Expert or FS Eng (Machinery) qualifications.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Experience with ATEX/DSEAR regulations.
- Multilingual skills.
