About the Role

We are seeking a talented Paralegal to join our Court of Protection team at Irwin Mitchell. As a specialist in this field, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and experienced team who are passionate about delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the deputy in managing the property and affairs of individuals who have lost capacity due to serious illnesses or elderly clients with conditions such as dementia.
  • Work across multiple caseloads, using your critical thinking skills to solve problems and provide seamless service to our clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver the best outcomes for our clients in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop your skills and expertise in Court of Protection matters, including litigation processes and property and affairs applications.
About You

We are looking for a Paralegal with a personable nature, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to operate with integrity and empathy. You will have a passion for Court of Protection matters and a desire to join a market-leading team with deep sector knowledge.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience as a fee-earning Paralegal with specialist COP experience.
  • Demonstratable experience of excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to operate with integrity, show empathy, and adapt in different environments.
  • Demonstratable understanding of the litigation processes alongside Court of Protection matters.
  • Experience managing caseloads while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and seamless service.
