Senior Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of nurses in the perioperative environment, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgery.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Lead a team of nurses in the perioperative environment, ensuring safe and effective care is provided to patients.
- Manage a group of patients, prioritizing their needs and ensuring timely discharge.
- Supervise the work of unqualified staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care, using appropriate frameworks and guidelines.
- Provide safe, high-quality care to patients in the perioperative environment, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Manage emergency situations, using sound judgment and clinical skills.
- Be responsible for personal professional development, maintaining up-to-date clinical skills and knowledge.
- Participate in team and ward meetings, contributing to the development of the ward as a learning environment.
- Assist in ongoing development of the ward, including research projects and clinical audits.
- Maintain professional behavior at all times, promoting a positive image of the Trust.
- Contribute to a high-quality, safe working environment, adhering to Trust and CQC standards.
- Participate in the setting of standards for nursing practice, using clinical governance principles.
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience in perioperative care, with a strong understanding of clinical governance principles.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
