About the Role

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Income and Costing teams to identify cost improvement opportunities and implement mechanisms to report activity information.
  • Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of complex data and information to recommend and implement solutions with Service Managers, Clinicians, and Clinical Service Unit (CSU) Finance Managers.
  • Develop and maintain good professional working relationships with staff from a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Provide financial expertise and support to the Trust's management team to ensure the delivery of financial objectives.

Requirements

  • Post-qualification experience of financial management within a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously within an agreed framework and take responsibility for the work of a team of support staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including presentation skills.
  • High-level numeracy skills, including the ability to analyze, interpret, and present information working with large data.
  • High-level computer skills, including the ability to create, manipulate, and present highly complex information within Excel.
