About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Finance Manager to join our team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our financial objectives and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Income and Costing teams to identify cost improvement opportunities and implement mechanisms to report activity information.
  • Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of complex data and information to inform financial decisions.
  • Develop and maintain good professional working relationships with staff from a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Provide financial expertise and support to Service Managers, Clinicians, and Clinical Service Unit (CSU) Finance Managers.

Requirements
  • Post-qualification experience of financial management within a healthcare environment.
  • Identifying and proposing cost reduction plans within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience of working in a large organization with complex management structures.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • Developing/working with a Patient Level Costing/Service Line Reporting system.
  • Experience of working with SLAMS/income reporting.
  • Direct line management responsibility for staff.
