Rehabilitation Support Specialist

Your Role
We are seeking dedicated clinicians from diverse backgrounds to become part of our Personal Injury division as a Support & Rehabilitation Coordinator (SRC).
As an SRC, you will be an integral member of a national multi-disciplinary team, providing essential support to clients and their families.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Engaging with clients who have experienced serious injuries or illnesses, offering education, support, guidance, and advocacy. You will manage client expectations and assist them and their families throughout their treatment and rehabilitation journey.
- Facilitating the seamless transition of new clients from key NHS services, collaborating with medical and therapeutic staff to ensure appropriate discharge and providing practical advice on local services.
- Resolving client issues by fostering relationships and working collaboratively with relevant organizations, while assessing individual client needs and documenting actions taken.
- Acting as a liaison between legal representatives, public agencies, charities, and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and secure necessary services for clients.
- Promoting our SRC services to NHS Trusts and external agencies to encourage referrals, while delivering training and identifying potential new client referrers.
- Following up with clients to gather feedback and suggestions for service improvement.
You will collaborate with the Specialist Client Services teams and work alongside experienced solicitors recognized for their expertise in assisting individuals affected by serious injuries and illnesses.
About You:
- Experience within the UK healthcare or social care sectors.
- A strong commitment to high-quality, client-centered practice.
- A clinical background with current registration with your governing body (e.g., NMC, HCPC).
- Knowledge of healthcare, rehabilitation, welfare policies, and advocacy services.
- Understanding of relevant rehabilitation codes, the Mental Capacity Act, and welfare benefits.
- Familiarity with external stakeholders (e.g., Headway, SIA, Aspire).
- Experience in clinical, health/social care, or rehabilitation settings.
- Understanding of complex conditions (e.g., brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, industrial diseases).
- Experience working in various settings (e.g., acute, post-acute, community).
- Experience within a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) framework.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for client meetings.
