Position Summary: We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Residential Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supported living and housing administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the introduction of clients to the organization's support framework.
  • Assist clients in completing online housing benefit applications and ensure all necessary agreements are signed.
  • Maintain accurate records by updating internal systems with relevant client documentation.
  • Conduct weekly support meetings to assess and address client needs.
  • Develop comprehensive risk assessments and personalized support plans for new clients.
  • Regularly review and update risk assessments and support plans, ensuring all documentation is current in both internal and external systems.
  • Guide clients towards appropriate local support services.
  • Provide assistance in accessing food banks and other charitable resources.
  • Manage client expectations regarding housing transitions, collaborating closely with local authorities.
  • Offer guidance on financial management and budgeting.
  • Ensure clients fulfill their responsibilities related to service fees.
  • Address any incidents of anti-social behavior in accordance with organizational policies.
  • With appropriate authorization, manage breaches of policy as approved by local authorities.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent position, typically operating Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility in hours as needed to meet service demands.

Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid enhanced DBS check on the update service or a DBS issued within the last two years. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
