Risk Assessment Specialist

Simpson Millar is seeking an experienced Legal Risk Assessor to join our Injury Practice Department.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as you will be responsible for the risk assessment of new enquiries received into the business for the Injury Practice Area.
You will be a key decision maker in reviewing initial leads, speaking to clients and making investigations into the lead, allowing us to make an informed decision on if the case has reasonable prospects and should be transferred to the Legal Team.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake risk assessments within the Injury Practice Area, ensuring thorough analysis and evaluation of potential risks.
- Review and track risk assessments for quality and adherence to governance SLAs, ensuring seamless process execution.
- Support business development and training initiatives, providing expertise and guidance to enhance team performance.
- Develop and implement effective processes for capturing risk assessment information, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure all risk assessment processes are undertaken, adhering to established protocols and standards.
- Work with case management systems, databases, and office IT systems, leveraging technology to enhance risk assessment capabilities.
- Adhere to and promote compliance with firm policies, practices, and procedures, as well as relevant quality standards and legislation.
- Meet performance targets for risk assessment completion, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Ensure all Risk & Governance policies are followed, aligning with business objectives and standards.
- Experience in a law firm or similar environment, with a proven track record of risk assessment and decision-making.
- Making informed decisions on claim success and value with limited information, demonstrating analytical skills.
- Working in a regulated environment, with expertise in record keeping and quality standards.
- Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in case management systems, databases, and office software.
