Position: Procurement Coordinator

Role Overview:
The Procurement Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the purchasing department by ensuring efficient procurement processes and maintaining supplier relationships.

Key Qualifications:
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is advantageous.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage confidently at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in utilizing in-house MRP systems alongside MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with SAGE Accounts is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong administrative capabilities and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability to manage shifting priorities, troubleshoot issues, and escalate concerns in a dynamic work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Issuing requests for quotations and selecting optimal suppliers based on cost-effectiveness and delivery timelines.
  • Placing purchase orders for goods, materials, or services that align with budgetary and delivery expectations.
  • Monitoring and adjusting the scheduling of purchase orders as necessary.
  • Expediting overdue orders and addressing backlog reports as required.
  • Communicating order statuses clearly to sales and production teams.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Keeping precise records of all orders within the MRP system.
  • Conducting research and assessments of current and potential suppliers.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings.
