Actuarial Transformation Analyst

Scottish Friendly is seeking an experienced Actuarial Transformation Analyst to join our Actuarial Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of our financial management approach, with a focus on the with-profits funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the actuarial function in developing the Society's approach to operating the with-profits funds for the benefit of all Society members.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure the successful delivery of our forward-looking strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Actuarial and Finance functions to ensure the efficient management of the with-profits funds.
  • Develop and enhance run-off plans for relevant funds, and maintain the with-profits miscellaneous surplus distribution policy.
  • Produce proposals relevant to the financial management of with-profits business, such as bonus recommendations and annual reports on compliance with the PPFMs.
  • Liaise and interact with other departments, including IT, Pricing, and Risk.
  • Attend Executive and Board level committees as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience in life insurance, with a good working knowledge of with-profits and their operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • RAFM modelling and SQL experience is preferred but not essential.
