Job Title: Head of Quality, Safety, and Environment

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Quality, Safety, and Environment (QSE) function. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the company's QSE policies and procedures are implemented effectively across all business units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Strategy: Provide sound advice on QSE matters to support the self-service model, develop and implement systems, processes, and procedures for QSE, and champion and drive cultural change in QSE management.
  • Health and Safety: Advise and support line management on Health and Safety issues, increase understanding of Health and Safety through education and training, develop and coordinate an audit program to ensure compliance, and investigate, report, and document accidents and incidents.
  • Quality Management: Manage and maintain Quality accreditations and standards, coordinate ISO Audits and ensure preparedness, and recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Environmental Management: Ensure compliance with Environmental Management standards, promote environmental awareness within the business, and maintain relationships with suppliers to uphold environmental standards.
  • Reporting and Governance: Provide monthly QSE reports for the Management Board, ensure the business stays updated on new legislation and industry standards, and manage relationships with external QSE suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous management experience in a QSE role managing multiple risks, NEBOSH Diploma (CMIOSH) or equivalent, experience gained within an FM or Services Management business working to ISO standards and management systems, and commercial focus or operational/line management experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership and team management abilities, competent in IT literacy and time management, and full UK driving licence.
  • Attitudes: Self-motivated, sound judgement and understanding of when to escalate issues, ability to lead change and drive improvements in working practices, strong organisational skills, a positive can-do attitude, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, attention to detail and proactive approach, and ability to work collaboratively and foster a team spirit.
