Accountant - Client Service Manager

MGB Accountants, a small and friendly accountancy practice in Bristol, is seeking an experienced accountant to manage client relationships and provide financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of clients, reporting to the director.
• Prepare and submit compliance tasks, including accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns using Iris.
• Provide book-keeping, VAT returns, and management accounts services for clients using Sage, Excel, Xero, QuickBooks, and other packages.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing day-to-day queries and supporting the director on complex tax or planning tasks.
Requirements:
• ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software, including Xero, Sage, and Iris.
• Excellent communication and management skills.
• Ability to work independently, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Working Arrangements:
• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, with flexible start and finish times.
• Option to work from home up to 2 days per week.
• Flexible office location, with options in Thornbury, Wotton-under-Edge, or Westbury-on-Trym.
Remuneration:
£40-50k per annum, plus bi-annual bonuses based on company performance.
