Job Title: System Engineer - DCS & Safety

Yokogawa UK Ltd is seeking a highly driven System Engineer (DCS & Safety) to join our team in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled System Engineer to provide first-class support and technical expertise in the design, implementation, and commissioning of DCS and safety systems. The successful candidate will work closely with our customer-centric team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project initiation and system design, including SIL classification and project planning
  • Executing or leading Factory Acceptance Tests, site installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests
  • DCS software configuration and programming, including continuous process control and batch process software
  • Supervising or implementing detailed design, including function block programming and safety system SIFs
  • Modifying existing safety systems and conducting impact analysis
  • Working with minimal supervision as part of a structured team
  • Conducting internal testing and executing or leading Factory Acceptance Tests
  • Transitioning to site and managing site installation
  • Conducting Site Acceptance Tests and ensuring system handover
  • Completing necessary documents and formalizing project closures
Requirements:
  • Minimum HNC qualification in an engineering or process-related subject
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Experience in a similar role within the oil & gas/petrochemical/Industrial Automation environment
  • Applicants with Offshore certificates are highly desired, but full training can be provided

  • Competitive salary, level dependent on experience, plus incentive package and overtime/TOIL where relevant
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
