About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Planning and Scheduling Manager to join our team at the Care Quality Commission. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and overseeing the portfolio plans and resource strategies within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement portfolio plans and resource strategies to support the organization's strategic goals.
  • Manage and coordinate resources to ensure successful delivery of complex projects and programs.
  • Improve performance by coaching individuals to work differently and through embedding new practices and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Resolve conflicts and implement solutions to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Negotiate and manage stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Apply program and project methodologies to deliver successful projects.
  • Work effectively in a matrix environment and deliver through others.
Requirements
  • P3O Practitioner qualification.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification.
  • Managing Successful Programs Practitioner qualification.
  • Experience in delivering complex strategic projects and programs.
  • Experience in managing resources and planning activities.
  • Experience in improving performance through coaching and embedding new practices.
  • Experience in learning from and embracing new technologies.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
