Position Overview

Buckden Partners is collaborating with a prominent UK real estate investment management firm seeking a Portfolio Manager to enhance their team. This role involves overseeing the management of their residential property assets across Northern UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the performance of the organization's assets from a portfolio management perspective.
  • Conduct visits and evaluations of residential properties to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations nationwide, performing site evaluations at least three days a week.
  • Utilize an analytical approach to manage detailed private rental sector portfolios, collaborating with analysts to monitor and enhance portfolio performance.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure the precise, comprehensive, and timely delivery of all portfolio management reports to key joint venture partners.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Development Manager, internal Structuring Team, Property Manager, and external joint venture partners to ensure efficient monthly transitions of units.
  • Collaborate with the Development Manager to oversee and manage the employer's agent on all development projects.
  • Travel to sites for inspections of units and surrounding areas.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • In-depth and extensive expertise in portfolio management (including roles such as social housing asset managers, AssocRICS surveyors, lender property development monitors, letting agent property managers, and employers agent surveyors).
  • Demonstrated success in residential portfolio management.
  • Highly organized and process-oriented individual capable of coordinating resources both internally and externally to effectively manage detailed residential portfolios from initiation to stabilization and eventual exit.
  • Ability to generate high-quality, accurate reports for external investors and joint venture partners.
  • Familiarity with development processes, project oversight, construction documentation, professional appointments, and project delivery.
