You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including social workers, personal advisors, and representatives from various agencies such as the National Referral Mechanism, National Age Assessment Bureau, and Migration Yorkshire.

As the Senior Fieldwork Manager, your responsibilities encompass:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to a team of social workers and personal advisors, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Case Management Expertise: Oversee the delivery of comprehensive support services to young refugees, including age assessments, health assessments, single assessments, and legal gateway presentations.
  • Pathway Planning: Ensure that post-18 pathways are effectively planned for young people, equipping them with essential life skills such as housing, budgeting, and health and well-being management.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Maintain accurate records and reports on the number of young refugees accommodated by Sheffield City Council to ensure proper claim processing for available allowances.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong understanding of the refugee journey and experience working within the National Referral Mechanism and other relevant agencies.
  • A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in performance management and team leadership.
