We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons to students with special educational needs
  • Assist with outdoor day trips and activity days to promote socialization and learning
  • Embody the school's vision and core values in all aspects of your work
  • Work with students who have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex needs, and challenging behaviors
  • Work full-time hours, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with opportunities for 1:1 and small group work
  • Competitive hourly rate of £14.72
Requirements:
  • Patience, proactivity, and resilience to work with students who may present challenges
  • Experience working in a SEN school (not essential)
  • Strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
