Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our East Team in Wiltshire Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting vulnerable children and families, providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive.
Main DutiesAs a Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing support and guidance to children and families, including those who have experienced trauma and are in need of protection.
- Conducting assessments and developing plans to address the needs of vulnerable children and families.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and other stakeholders on child protection and safeguarding matters.
- Participating in child protection conferences and other meetings to ensure the safety and well-being of children.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a Social Worker who has:
- A professional social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with and the protection of children and young people.
- Experience of direct work with children, young people, and families, including those who have experienced trauma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, service users, and other stakeholders.
- A commitment to evidenced-based practice and a willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
