About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our East team in Wiltshire Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families, providing expert guidance and intervention to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and investigations to identify the needs and risks of vulnerable children and families.
- Develop and implement effective plans to address identified issues, working closely with children, families, and other professionals.
- Provide expert guidance and support to families, promoting positive change and empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting vulnerable children and families.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the best possible outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Requirements
- Professional social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with and protecting children and young people.
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and families, including those who have experienced trauma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
