Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Stress Engineer to join our Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing new and existing rocket motor systems, developing structural test plans, and delivering key project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Analysis
    • Analyze new and existing rocket motor systems, including motor hardware and propellant charge structural and thermal analysis using FEA software.
    • Develop and maintain FEA models, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Software Development
    • Use various software and programming techniques, including Abaqus, Altair-Hyperworks, Fortran, and Matlab.
    • Develop and implement software solutions to support stress analysis and structural testing.
  • Structural Testing
    • Develop motor structural test plans and oversee the delivery and assessment of structural testing results.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Technical Authority
    • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including structural analysis, structural test plans, and reports.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural, or Material Science.
  • Experience
    • Proven experience in stress analysis and structural testing, with a strong background in FEA software.
    • Experience with CAD modeling and software development.
