About the Role

Roxel UK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Stress Engineer to join our team of experts in the design and development of solid propellant rocket motors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct stress analysis duties and provide technical expertise to support the design and development of rocket motor systems.
  • Lead the structural performance technical authority aspects of assigned projects, including supporting project customer meetings, project investigations, design reviews, and corresponding customer stress engineers.
  • Develop and deliver key project documentation, including structural analysis and structural test plans and reports, and structural design records.
  • Contribute to qualifications reports using expert knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry technical innovations and changes.
  • Schedule, plan, and prioritize work and time to ensure on-time delivery of tasks.
  • Identify and communicate risks and issues that may impact delivery, including time, quality, and cost.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural, or another related discipline such as Material Science.
  • Proficiency with ABAQUS software and the Microsoft Office package, particularly Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Experience with CAD modeling and Altair-Hyperworks is desirable.
