Job Description

Roxel UK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Stress Engineer to join our team in the design and development of solid propellant rocket motors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct stress analysis duties, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of rocket motor hardware and propellant charge using Abaqus software.
  • Develop and maintain design manuals and knowledge databases related to rocket motor design and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure structural performance and integrity of rocket motor systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on stress analysis and structural testing.
  • Develop and implement structural test plans and assess test results to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry technical innovations and changes, and lead research programs to develop new technologies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery, including time, quality, and cost.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level in an engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering, or a related field like Material Science.
  • Proficiency in ABAQUS software and experience with CAD modeling and Altair-Hyperworks.
  • Strong knowledge of material science, particularly composites, viscoelastic materials, and adhesives.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
