About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Support Worker to join our team at GreenSquareAccord. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting victims of domestic abuse and their children in their journey towards independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to service users in maintaining their tenancy, including explaining the Licence Agreement and House Rules, and assisting with housing benefit applications.
  • Liaise with internal teams to arrange for void properties to be ready for re-let, and record void vacation and re-let information manually and electronically.
  • Assist service users in completing homelessness applications, and collate evidence-based documentation to support their housing application.
  • Manage rent accounts using GSA's rent IT system, and assist service users in reporting repairs.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with victims of abuse and their children.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external agencies, including police, social care, schools, and the court.
  • Proficiency in using IT packages and databases to report and record information.
  • Leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to chair meetings and take minutes.
