About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Call Agent at Crimestoppers. As a Call Agent, you will play a vital role in receiving and processing information from the public regarding crime, ensuring that it is accurately and securely passed on to the relevant agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and process information from members of the public via phone or other relevant mediums, questioning the source where possible to ensure the best information is received.
  • Input sanitized information onto the database, ensuring compliance with data protection and disclosure requirements, before forwarding it to the appropriate Intelligence unit or external agency.
  • In the event of receiving time-critical or life-threatening information, contact Police Control rooms/Major Incident Rooms and have the information noted/actioned for an appropriate response.
Requirements
  • Ability to enable staff/others to perform well and develop.
  • Collaboration and support skills to produce better results.
  • Effective relationship-building skills with callers, service users, stakeholders, partners, and colleagues.
  • Understanding of Crimestoppers' purpose and goals and their relevance to the role.
