About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Financial Operations to join our management team at Resi Design Ltd. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and design management accounts, including financial statements and board packs.
  • Work closely with the founders and executive team to analyze data and provide insights to inform business decisions.
Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Develop and maintain short-term cash flow forecasts (13-week rolling tactical cash flow) and long-term financial models (2-year monthly forecast and 5-year yearly forecast).
  • Run scenarios and provide recommendations to increase profitability and drive business growth.
Financial Controls and Policies
  • Implement and maintain financial controls, including coordinating with operations teams on collections and payroll.
  • Support the annual audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Financial Strategy
  • Develop and present materials to support fundraising and pitching efforts.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to commercial stakeholders and recommend initiatives to increase profitability.
Accounting and Bookkeeping
  • Oversee accounting processes, including reconciliations, VAT returns, and HMRC/Companies House submissions.
  • Point of contact for external accountants and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Head of Financial Operations with a strong background in finance and accounting. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4-5 years of business and finance experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Chartered accountant or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience managing a small finance team and interacting with the board and investors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
