Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Catering Assistant to join our team at Rowley Hall Hospital. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Chef's and Catering Team in providing excellent food service to our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain food and beverage orders from patients, staff, and visitors to the hospital
  • Assist in the preparation and service of food to patients, staff, and visitors to the hospital
  • Clean on a daily basis all areas of the catering department to the agreed standard
  • Ensure all areas of the kitchen/restaurant/Ward pantry/vending machines are fully stocked and cleaned as appropriate
  • Ensure current health and hygiene regulations are adhered to in the preparation and service of all foodstuffs
  • Use of till and restaurant tally sheets

Requirements

  • Experience in a catering environment
  • Knowledge of food safety to complete level 2 course when in role
  • Experience within a healthcare environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be computer literate
  • An ability to work independently and to manage own priorities and strict deadlines
  • Flexibility, adaptability & initiative
