About the Role

As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing essential support and compassionate care in mental health settings. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure that individuals receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring patients' conditions and providing support as needed
  • Assisting in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse
  • Ensuring that patients' rights, dignity, and well-being are respected
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to patients

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience as a Mental Health Care Assistant (qualifications required to accompany individuals with 6-12 months experience)
  • All Care support worker roles will be required to provide evidence of completing the Care Certificate or a relevant qualification
