About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient care for patients with respiratory disease.
  • Develop and implement clinical services to support the East of England CF network and regional respiratory services.
  • Contribute to the development of the paediatric respiratory medicine unit and shape its future direction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration.
  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification.
  • On the specialist register (CCT in paediatrics OR Equivalent) at or within 6 months of the AAC.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to a career in paediatric respiratory medicine.
  • 2 years paediatric respiratory training or experience in a tertiary centre.
  • Competent at management of inpatients and outpatients with respiratory conditions or CF.
  • EPLS or APLS certification.
  • Training to level 3 safeguarding and experience of safeguarding at Specialist Registrar or Consultant level.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience at consultant level.
  • Expertise in CF.
  • Recent experience with CFTR modulating therapy.
  • Experience in sleep studies.
Personal Qualities
  • Good communicator.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Enthusiasm for service development and teaching.
Working Arrangements
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Must live within a 15-mile radius of the base Trust or 30 minutes travelling time when on call.
