Job Summary

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our well-established unit and contributing to the East of England CF network and regional respiratory services.

Main Duties

The successful appointee will provide inpatient and outpatient care for patients with respiratory disease, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. You will be responsible for managing inpatients and outpatients with respiratory conditions, including cystic fibrosis, and will have the opportunity to develop your skills in sleep studies and CFTR modulating therapy.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Full GMC registration
  • MRCPCH or equivalent
  • On the specialist register (CCT in paediatrics OR Equivalent) at or within 6 months of the AAC
  • Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to a career in paediatric respiratory medicine
  • 2 years paediatric respiratory training or experience in a tertiary centre
  • Competent at management of inpatients and outpatients with respiratory conditions or CF
  • EPLS or APLS certification
  • Training to level 3 safeguarding and experience of safeguarding at Specialist Registrar or Consultant level
