About Jameson Legal:
Jameson Legal is a leading international law firm seeking an experienced Immigration Knowledge Development Lawyer to join our team on a part-time basis for a 12+ month assignment. As a Knowledge Development Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Immigration team by developing and maintaining our knowledge base, providing expert guidance, and ensuring the highest level of service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Knowledge Base: Coordinate, design, and prepare internal and client legal training, collect, draft, maintain, and update key precedents and client guides.
- Horizon Scanning and Updates: Monitor legal developments and emerging areas of law, providing horizon scanning updates to the Immigration lawyers and clients.
- Knowledge Management: Manage the Immigration team's knowledge pages on the firm's intranet, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Best Practice and Risk Management: Work with the Partners and Risk and Compliance teams to implement and embed best practice and risk management practices across the team.
- Client Support: Respond to legal queries from fee earners, providing expert guidance and support.
Requirements:
- Qualifications and Experience: Qualified lawyers with upwards of 5 years' PQE specialising in Immigration (both private and corporate immigration matters), with experience gained within notable international or City law firms.
- Technical Skills: Excellent technical skills, with prior experience working as an Immigration Knowledge Development Lawyer or an Immigration Lawyer looking to transition into a Knowledge Development Lawyer role.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work proactively, possess strong organisational skills, and demonstrate the ability to work calmly under pressure.
Working Arrangements:
Jameson Legal operates a hybrid working policy, with the successful candidate expected to spend 2 days per week in the London office. The role is available immediately, and we encourage applicants to apply as soon as possible.
