About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing design solutions for our platform systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop and implement design solutions for our platform systems, ensuring that they meet the required safety and performance standards.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Specify and assist in the build of prototypes, products, and systems suitable for testing, and provide timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers regarding technical matters, and make presentations effectively to technical and management audiences.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Author/co-author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science Subjects.
  • Skills and Experience: Be able to design documentation with the ability to present these to customers and wider groups, have the ability to solve complex engineering calculations, and have an Engineering Lifecycle background.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD, MS Office, and comfortable with other IT applications.
